At the Shannon green on Saturday a friendly game was played between Shannon and Levin. The visiting rinks —it was pleading to note—brought with ,them a large number of lady visitors, wjhioh added much to the sociability of the afternoon. Prior to the opening, Mr E. Spencer, in the absence of the President, Mr Clayton, extended a hearty welcome to the visiting bowlers and the ladies, and said he hoped they would all have an enjoyable afternoon. A dainty afternoon tea was. provided toy .the ladies of the Croquet Club. Shannon were successful qn the aggregate for the day, the score being—Shannon 129, Levin 116. After the games the visitors congratulated the local club on their success and thanked them for their hospitality. Cheers were given for the ladies who had provided the afternoon tea. It is the intention of the local Club to return the visit at an early date. Following are the results of the games played— Shannon; Murray, Gunning, Gagliardi, Cooper (skip) 15 v.
