STOiUi CATTLE ADVANCE,
The yarding ol stock ut the Levni weekly sale yesterday was. only fair. The most noticeable movement ol the sale was in .store cattle which showed an advance of lrojua 10s to los per head, with keen and unsatisfied demand. A fair-sized'line of rough ayeud- old steers made £8 Bs, with lbmontlis steers, mostly good colours, but with a few Holsteins among them, making £4 lis. Fat-cattle maintained the recent advance in prices, a pen ol live prime fat cows, making,£B -■«• Light lat bullocks went to £8 7s bd, and lighter fat cows made £4 los tu £6 6s. , . Sheep were in keen demand and sold well up. tq late rates. Light woolly fat wethers made 50s 6d, shorn wethers 375. ' A line of good i- oath ewes realised 40s, others 28s, Culls were not in demand. Store pigs showed a.' slight decline, such as is to be expected at this time ol the year, from last weeks rates. Pork was unchanged. Prices were as, Pigs!— Weaners 9s 6d tQ 15s, stores 1.7 s 6d to. -255, porkers 36s to 50s according to weight.
