THE FRENCH MATCHES.
TO BE PLAYED ON SUNDAYS. (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) , PARIS, Jan. 4. There is much interest in the visit of the All Blacks. The French fifteen to play against them at Colombes is sensibly different to the team against Ireland on January 1. Only. Chilo, laurreguy, Besson, Dumanoir, and Marcet were re-selected to play on Sunday next against the New Zealanders, hut the principal interest is. attached to the match at Toulouse on January 18 against a French national team to be chosen after the match at Colombes, which will probably closely resemble the team against Ireland. After doing the sights of Pans the All Blacks visit the. battle from on Wednesday and Thursday and plac§ a tablet on the grave, of Sergeant Dave Gallaher. They will train on Fnday and rest on Saturday, and arrive at Toulouse -on the evening of Monday, January 12, and spent the week m training and sightseeing. Colonel Brunton, of Northumberland will" be the referee in the match at Colombes and Major Wilkins, of London, in the match at Toulouse. • It is estimated the visit will. cost 400,000 francs (£4600), whereof 250,000 are in connection with the visiting team, including 150,000 francs. (£1730) the French Rugby Federation’s quota of the cost of the voyage from New Zealand.
