A MOTOR MASSACRE.
A motor-car. at Dubbo from Trangie, New Wales* 'the other, day. presented ’. interesting sight. The radiator was literally covered with dead grasshoppers, and the entire front of the car, including the wind-screen, was a dirty yellow, due to the massacre when the car cut its way through the thick mass of insects. The driver said that the grasshoppers were as thick as dust for about half a mile, and not only was he obliged to go slowly, but he had to get out on one occasion and sweep the dead insects from the radiator, to which v owing to the heat, the victims were stuck fast. N done by these pests this year, as they did not make theiiv appearance until the crops were well advanced.
