IMPORTS OF BACON INTO GREAT BRITAIN.
Further to our report of the 17th September, writes the secretary of the ■“Dairy Control* Board,” the state of affairs which we expected has come about, and the supplies have been, materially curtailed, on account of the unremUnerative prices returned to the packers of late, with tihe inevitable result that prices have advanced considerably all round. The trade is quiet ,and it is only on account of the firm position in which sellers find themselves that they have to charge the higher prices. Imports for September.
