- The second round of. the Triangular Shield contest was played at Foxton on Wednesday afternoon. The weather conditions were ideal and toe green in. good Playing order. The loilpwing lire the details of Play:— Levin: Clements, Fyke, Harris, Hawke (s), 23. Foxton— Wins.ta.nley, Barr, Walker, Smith (s), 17, Levin—Brown, Inder, Suhan, Clements (s), 21. Foxton—Head, Bryant, Thomson, Roore (S), .15, Foxton—Whibley, Pearson, "Huntley, Nye (s). 23, Shannon—Shannon, Burn, Murray, Roach (sj .10. Shannon—B. Spencer, Boyis, Gunning, E. Spencer (s), 20. ‘ Foxton, Mattar, Downes, Christie, McCioll (s), 13. The aggregate, for the two rounds are: Levin (6 games) 126 points; Foxton (6 games),'TO! points; Shannon (4 games) 75 points. As the figures at present stand, it would seem that Levin has an advantage of a)bout 20 points on either Foxton qr. Shannon fallowing Shannon an additional onethird of -their present total fQr the two games they lack). At the. conclusion of play the President of the /Foxton Club (Mr Barr) announced the figures and also took ocoasion to express (the -hope that visiting players had had a good day’s sport. He. called for cheers for the visitors, which were heartily given. (Mr Suhan replied on behalf, of the visitors who jrefprnedi cheers, A similar compliment was accorded the ladies for a tasty afternoon tea.
