HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL. PROPOSED LOAN OF £90,000. PUBLIC NOTICE 1$ nereby given that it is the intention oi .the Horowhenua County Council under powers conferred hy “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” “The Counties Act, 1920,” “The Main Highways Act, 1922,” and ah Other powers thereto enabling, to raise a special loan as hereunder stated, that is to say;— 1, The pur-pose of the loan is (a) to provide the Council’s contribution under “The Main Highways i Act, 1922,” towards the construction or reconstruction of the Main Highways throughout the Horowhenua County and (b) to provide the - necessary plant and machinery for carrying cut the said work of constructing or reconstructing such Highways, 2. The sum proposed to be borrowed is;— (a) For Main Highways construction or reconstruction £78,000 (h) For Plant and Machinery £12,000 Making a total of £90,000 c. It is proposed that the term ol the loan shall be iqr a period Of not more than 36£ years, and that the ra.te of interest to be paid on the loan shall not exceed £5 10 s per centum per annum plus a sinking lund of one per centum per annum. To provide security for such interest and sinking fund it is further proposed to make a special rate on all rateable property in the whole of the Horowhenua County, sufficient to meet the periodical payments of such interest and sinking fund and 10 per cent, more than such payments. 4. It is proposed to pay out of the loan monies the cost of raising the loan and the interest, and sinking fund for the first year. Dated this Uth day of November, 1924. F. H. HUDSON, County Clerk.
