MINISTER’S REFUSAL OF NEW - SURVEY. Tiie following telegram was received hy the local Chamber oi commerce Irom Mr W. H. Field, M.P., yesterday:— “Lnikiater and i interviewed the Minister oi . AVith regard to-the Minister’s statement that the route lias, already been explored, it may be stated that the 1921 commission, the recent, conference as to reviving the League and the deputation to the Prime Minister and Minister for Railways failed to reveal the existence of survey data. The deputation was promised a survey, but now it appears that one is not’to be made. Evidently this muchdesired survey is something akin to a wdll-o’-tlie-wisp. . .
