The challengers for the Mongahao Ferns, Trotfs rink from Palmerston North, failed to. put in an appearance on the local green on WednesuayA, two local rinks have issued challenges Palmerston North will have to get busy it they desire to win tlie trophy, as the -holders at the time o. turning on of the power then become tfic winners outright. 1
Lists are now out tor receiving nominations for the local club’s singles, pairs and rink championships. On Labour Day the Club will hold a progressive pairs tournament, when it )is hoped there will be a large attendance of members. In the past these tournaments have been most successful and a good day’s sport is anticipated.
