CROQUET AT FOXTON.
Simultaneously with the commencement of play on the Foxton Bowling Green, Mr Perreau, on behalf of Mrs Perreau, who is president of the Croquet Club, declared the court open for iplay. In doing to, Mr Perreau welcomed all visitors on behalf of tlie Club arid wished all an enjoyable afternoon, and iiop-ed the Club would have a successful season. Mr s Perreau. was called upon to hit the first ball, arid the green Was then declared open for play. Competitions were played during the afternoon, the result being as follows r Golf croquet: Mrs Brown (Levin)." Break competition: Mrs Parkes. French croquet: Mrs Pink (Levin).
