AN OCEAN PHENOMENON.
WHERE TWO CURRENTS MEET. A vessel on Government patrol recently had ,-a. remarkable experience when off the Newfoundland Grand Banks. It found itself exactly at the spot where the cold Labrador current and the warm Gulf Stream meet. .The ship was swung around, and experimental" temperatures were taken. In one instance the temperature at the bow was 56 degrees while at the stern it was 34 degrees.
