BY CIVIL ENGINEERS. j At the Albion Hotel, Shannon, on Friday evening, Mr A. Dinnie, who has been Engineer-hi-Charge of the . Mangaliao hydro-electric works, uiid who has been transferred to a similar position at Arapuni, was accorded a laiewell by members of the North i Wellington branch of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers. Mr ! j, R. Hughes, Borough Engineer 01 j Palmerston North, on behalf of the , gathering presented Mr Dinnie with a i case of .pipes and a tobacco pouch. He said the members of, trie branch were sorry Mr Diniiie was leaving the district, but wished him every success in his association with the largest hvdro-electric scheme in the southern hemisphere. He said their guest had always endeavoured to make then visits to Mangahao pleasant and instructive and they would look.forward to the time when they could visit Arapuni and receive further hospitulltyMessrs Means and Waters representing the power boards of the district and Mr ft.
