WANTED A NAME.
JOCELYN SUGGESTED. What is an appropriate name for the girl born in a subway train? This problem has cropped up here as a result of the sudden appearance of an unexpected passenger in one of Londons underground cars, which hastily cleared of other passengers, shunted into a tunnel and transformed into a maternity hospital. Lord Ashfield, head of the London traffic combine, consented to celebrate the new record in subway history by being godfather to the child. He may be called on to make a selection from the names submitted by the entire city. The London subway is known generally as the tube, and one suggestion has been that the baby be given four names, the initials being T. U. B. E.
The section of the subway at which the incident occurred is known as Bakerloo, and Louise aßker is among the recommendations put forth. Tt\e brightest christening idea is that, as the baby was born during the rush hour, she be called Jocelyn.
