FOXTON FOOTBALL.
CHANGE TO LEAGUE NOT OFFICIALLY DISCUSSED. i In conversation with Messrs 3. Austin and H. HiUtchins, Foxton delegates to the Horowjtienua Rugby Union, the Herald representative was informed that the published statemen in connection with local .Rugby teams going over to the League game was not discussed by the management committee as there was nothing official before the Union. The delegates agreed that there was a good deal of dissatisfaction expressed in Foxton ag-ainst the centralisation of rep. games in Levin and in other matters governing the game. So far as League was concerned they were of the opinion that the agitation would die a natural death. They expressed the opinion that in order to put Rugby on a more satisfactory basis, the district should be re-arranged. Their suggestion was a district comprising Levin, Foxton, Shainnon, Tokomaru ' and Rangiotu and one or two clubs within this area. Referring to the "'League game, they said 'they did not j think the gate money at such matches would be sufficient to meet play- ; erg expenses. Another point was that any player who transferred to League , would be disqualified for Rugby.
