Indications up to the present axe for an early spring. Where paddocks are shut up a noticeable growth of grass has taken place -within the past ten days and a recovery is being made from the extreme bareness of a fortnight ago. In' the orchards some varieties of plums are making a good display of blossom and r gooseberry are breaking into leaf. Provided the weather does not suffer the relapse that so often follows on early spiring, indications tetr the coming season are bright.
