GOLF NOTES.
SHANNON y. PALMERSTON NORTH
On Saturday next a team of fifteen
men from Palmerston North will play a match against Shannon on the local course. The game will commence as soon as possible after 1 p.m., at which time the Shannon players are requested to be at the grounds. Players will please note that in all planes whore the ground is very uneven it has bten decided to drop fhe ball from six inches. Such places are to he left to the discretion of the players. Ladies, as on previous occasions, arc ashed to be good enough to supply a i. asset and dispense afternoon tea. The following local players are selected for the match. Any unable to o’ay are requested to notify the seer dary immediately Saxon, Morgan, Seifert, Gagliardi, Grainger, Anderson,. Dinliie, Johnston, McDonald, GrylJs, Reinke, Spencer, Swaney,, Blackwood, J. Gagliardi. The medal matches for August were won respectively by Mrs Hosiciag and Mr Grylls; both players r. turning good cards. v
