THE CARNIVAL.
TO-NIGHT.
The Carnival organised by the committees of the Bowling, Croquet and Tennis Cluibs will 'be held in the Maoriland Hall this evening. The committee has been divided into four sections—the Reds, Gretens, Purples, and'Gold—and each section will conduct their own stalls, where anything from a needle to an anchor can be procured. Apart from the stalls there will be amusements and competitionsthat will appeal to all* and arrangements have been completed that will 1 ensure a most pleasant time for those who attend. As the object is to raise funds to assist the bowling and tennis clubs of Shannon it behoves all who are interested to attend.
“O, Angel Child!” So sweet and guileless, Life’s greatest gift from realms above, Untainted yef by worldly vileness, Who could behold thee without love ? N “0, Angel Child!” when time shall " stain thee With sordid, thoughts and sights impure, If bronchial ills distress and pain pain thee, Remember Woods’ Great Peppermint Cure.*
