There was a very" large congregation at the morning service on Sunday in tHie old ~ historic Maori Church ait Otaki, where both Maori and Pakeha congregations united to take part in the ordination to the Priesthood of the Rev. Pakoka Hekctora Leonard. "The Right Rev. the Lord Bishop of the Dioecse conducted the impfessive eorvr mony, arid-was assisted in the . laying on of hands by the Revs. G. F. Petrie, W. G. Williams, and Temuera Tokoaitua. The serviccrwas conducted partly in Maori and partly in English. The Ttov. Wilfred Gr. Williams, superintendent of the Maori Mission, delivered the address, speaking first to the Maori worshippers in' their own tongue,, afterwards ■in English to the Europeans.
