At the Borovvhenua County Council meeting on Saturday Cr. Ryder asked if the Council had’received any compensation in respect of the heavy traffic diverted to the roads during the railway strike. The chairman: “The account is ready to go in.” At Saturday’s County Council meeting, Cr. Galley asked if anything had bean done concerning the deputation to the Government in connection with Beach road. The chairman explained that it was difficult’ at the present time to get both Ministers interested in Wellington together, but they wo lild probably he approached early in the session.
