DUNEDIN, Last Night. The first day of the Forbury Park Trots was held in fine, but cold Aveatbcr on a heavy track after overnight rain. The attendance did not appear to be up to the usual, but the racing was interesting. The tote handled £22,365, compared with £23,934 for the first day last year. Results: —

Lottie Direct and Darkest were quickly in charge from Bundaberg and Oui Lady. Lottie Direct broke in the run home, and Bundaberg won by two lengths from Darkest, who beat Lottie Direct by five lengths. Time, 4.50 4-e.
