“BIG BAN” C)N SATURDAY. t “Big Dan,” tlie Charles Jones production recently completed by William Fox,, is a story of the prizering written by Fred and Fanny 'Hatton, the noted playwrights. When tlie exciting film was privately shown to a group or' eminent ringside men, sport writers, fighters and promoters, Jones’ pugilistic work was applauded vigorously. One of tpie promoters offered the famous film star a chance to become famous through another channel, namely, that of the .roped arena. Jones, of course, refused, being liappv in hi.s present medium, "tin: WILD PARTY.” The hostess at the party had stolen out of the house for ah automobile ride with a strange man. Leslie Adams, a society reporter, didn’t know who the man was, but she was sure of the womati. Anyway it looked like-a scandal, to her. Prompted by some instinct to believe apparently that too 'many facts spoil a, good .scandal story, she hurried back to the office. Bushing ~ into the office the nexfc morning, she shouted: ‘Tve got. a scoop.” Said the city editor coldly: “You’ve got nothing but leisure, unless you prove that Stuart Forth was wit'll Mrs Cartwright last night. Furth just, filed a libel suit against us l'or £100,000.” This is but one of the sensational points in “The Wild Party,” a Universal attraction, which, will appear on Monday, starring Gladys Walton.
