LARGE ENTRY OF PIGS. There was an exceptionally Jarge yarding of pigs at the Levin weekly sale on Tuesday, prices being dull Jor ail classes.' Practically everything was sold under tile hammer, however, vendors slrowhig a willingness to meet purchasers u,t, the reduced rales. There was a. good yarding -of sheep, fats being dull of sale, but other classes unchanged. Fat cattle of medium quality were in large supply, but competition was dull and prices showed a decline from, last .week’s figures. Prices were as follow':
iPigs: Wean era 8s to 15s, stores 17s to 235,. light porkers 27s fo £2, heavier to Hi 15s, baconers to £4 2s, sows to Jii rrow in .Tnly £3 ss. Sheep: Fat wethers ?4s, fat wethers and maiden .ewes 34s 3d, light lot wethers 27s Til, fat lambs 2().s 6d to 24s 2d, 2‘ and 4-tooth wethers 255, forward ewes 17s 6d to 18s 7d, black faced lambs, shorn, 13s 7d, good wether lambs 17s, medium woolly lambs 14s to 15s, coll lambs 9s 7d- to :10s 6d. Cattle: Prime fat cows £5 ss, light and unfinished £2 10s to £3 10s, better kinds to £4 16s. forward cows 32s to 355, store caws ,£l to 255, wearner heifers 9s to 37s 6d according to quality.
