Vaccination against colds has been, during the winter, practised by many Condon doctors, probably the' majority, on themselves.
A London physician said to a Daily Mail reporter that a,t the beginning of every winter he vaccinated himself and Jiis family., with excellent results. It was impossible to guarantee in any particular ca.se that the vaccine would prevent a cold, hut in the majority of cases it was very successful. Colds may Tie caused by six or seven different species of 'microbes. The anti-cold vaccines arc therefore made of a mixture of a,ll the microbes concerned in colds, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
St. Mary’s Hospital inoculation department has been very busy vaccinating .people against colds and other complaints for Which vaccination is recommended. From 70 to 80 patients were inoculated 'every day. Some attend regularlv everv winter and spring, '
