(From our 'own Correspondent. A very pretty wedding was cel€ brated at the residence of Mr Steyen son, the contracting parties bein; Miss Hazel Stevenson and Mr Clai ence Smith, of Levin. Glorious wea tiller favoured toe occasion. The brid looked charming in a frock of whit sura, silk, trimmed with radium lace Only relatives were present. 11l liappy couple journeyed to Christ church, and will later take up theij residence in Levin. Miss Kelly, who is an inmate of i private hospital in Palmerston, h slowly recovering from her receni operation. Mrs Thompson, Avho was also a patient ol' the same hospital, has returned home convalescent. Mr J. R. Whyte is Touring the South Island. Miss Higgs is spending her holidays in Blenheim. Mr C. C. H. Palmer is visiting friends in Palmerston, and will later journey to Eketahuna. Miss Wake has gone north to stay with relatives. During the absence of Miss Kelly, Miss Williams has kindly consented to act as organist at the Anglican Church. Mr Phillip is getting his new home in, order, pdor to taking up his residence there next month. His successor ■at the school lias yet to be appointed.
