“RIDIN’ WILD.”
The West is passing! or has passed. There is no question about that. A relative question, however, is “What is the .screen J going to do about UP” The Universal picture, in which Edward (Hoot) Gibson will be seen at the local theatre, on Wednesday may be taken as an indication. It is “Hidin’ Wild.” Gibson lias been noted chiefly as. a star of western action dramas. Now comes “Hidin’ Wild,” which is laid in the West and yet is not a western picture. Gibson is the world’s champion cowboy, established as that in Pendleton, Oregon, several years ago. The title has not been successfully- disputed. After obeying his .mother and, hanging on to her apron strings, “Hidin’ Wild” after his sweetheart and “the fellows” had given him up as a sissy, ‘Hidin’ Wild’ with the sheriff’s daughter across his saddle, the posse after him and his father in the jail awaiting trial or lynching. Hoot wins through to a thrilling climax. ON FRIDAY.
The big feature this Aveek is Priscilla Dean in “Drifting.” If yon like the mystery of the Orient ; the intrigue "of the underworld; the daring of the adventurer; a love story-that thrills Avith.romance', and a tremendous climax that literally lifts you out of your seat, then don’t miss this masterpiece.
