BOWLING.
An official visit was made by »two rinks from the Levin Club to tbe local green ,on Wednesday afternoon when enjoyable games were played, lteferring to the rink skipped by Bovis this proved an eye-opener to the local bowlers. The play of this rink on the day would do credit to any club. A noticeable > feature was the j consistency of the rink right through , the game, seeing they were practically all neiv players, their win was ( a most popular one and we feel sure they will meet with further success. Following are the results •—Burns, Beard Bartholomew and Bovis (s) 20 v. Hotchew, Ryder, Bull, Brown (s) 18 • Aim Watterston, E. Bull, Newton (s)’ 20 v.’iPink, Challis, Pike, Inder (s) 24. Afternoon tea was dispensed by Miesd antes Murphy and Beard and was much appreciated. Before leav- ! ino- Mr Bull (Levin) thanked the c.lulb for their hospitality and said he hoped they would not be long in paying a return visit. A local rink comprising Messrs Clayton, B. Murray, Jas. Murray and J. Roach (s) journeyed to Palmerston Nortli on Wednesday and were successful in defeating a rink skipped, by Pickering for the Man gab a o Feathers by 23 to 19. - ,
