PASTOR’S VISION.

AGRICULTURAL HEROES,

Preaching yesterday at the Al,bert Street Methodist Church, the Rev. Dr. Rowe said that Australia Day was not worthily commemorated. Anzac Day was worthy of the highest recognition as the national day for solemn and sacred remembrance; but Australians should not forget what God had done for them in giving them this great island continent. They should remember the bravp explorers and hardy pioneers. / It was time the primary producers came into their own. He had never heard of any pastoralist or agriculturist being recognised by the State for his heroic services in supplying the necessaries of life. The day was coming when Australia would have its own order of knighthood, and . then it was hoped that the toilers on the land would receive public recognition.
