Sir,—On. behalf of the members and supporters of the Foxton Silver Band, I wish to publicly thank the citizens Of Shannon, for the loyal support accorded to Mr Golder and myself, when in Shannon on Friday. I would like the people of Shannon to consider the Foxton Band as a “district band,’* as they are always willing to help Shannon in any of their public functions, and I am certain the support accorded us on Friday is only a forerunner to .the support they are going to give -us in our forthcoming carnival.—l am, etc., JACK W. RfcADDEN, Chairman, Band Carnival Committee.
