ANNUAL SCHOOL PICNIC.
AN ENJOYABLE OUTING
Saturday proved an ideal day for the holding of tne annual school picnic, which lu'ok place at Plimmerton, and as a result nearly 900 children and adults journeyed from. Shannon to the seaside where a most enjoyable day was spent in bathing, games and sports. A, most excellent programme havingi been drawn up. The arrangements made by the committee left nothing wanting, for which they are to be, complimented. Hot water, milk, tea, and sugar were provided and a special word of praise is due to Mrs B. Walton, of Plimmerton, who dispensed in a most capable manner these necessary items and who left no stone unturned to. assist in the visitors’ comfort. The return for home was made at 4.30 and during the journey the children were well supplied with lollies ann fruit, and Shannon whs reached at 6.45 p.m., the majority being tired, sunburnt, but happy.
