RULES OF COMPETITION.

1. No acceptance, lee to pe paid. 2. Competitors must wear usual full athletic costume, consisting of singlet and breeches (elbow to knee). 3. Competitors when nominating must send in their results of the last two performances 4. All events will be under the Rules of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. 5. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by nomination fees. Lompetitors must wear a numoer (to he supplied by the Secretary) corresponding to that opposite their names on the programme. 7. The decision of , the Judges or Judge shall be final in every competition, and they have power to disqualify any competitor. 8. In High Jump, Broad Jump and Hop, Step and Jump, each competitor shall toe allowed three. (3) tries. 9. The Committee reserve the right of refusing any entry, making any change in the programme, postponing or abandoning the Sports if necessary by weather or other circumstances, of Which they shall he sole Judges. 10. All events, five competitors or no second prize. Three competitors or no event. This rule will toe strictly enforced. 11. All entries, must be made on N.Z.A.A.A. Forms.. 12. All competitors must be in readiness when called, as the events must come off in the order stated. Any competitor misconducting himself will be excluded from the competition, and if he should have successfully competed he must forfeit the prize. ALL COMPETITORS MUST LEAVE THE RING AFTER EACH EVENT.

13. None but the Officials and Competito/rs during the events allowed on t(he course. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. 14. Scratching^.—All competitors not competing in any eveni must notify the Scratching Steward : not less than ten minutes before the event. 15. All competitors must he finam cial members of their respective Clubs. 16. Ladies’ events. Competitors need not be members of any Affiliated Club. All events run under the rules of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. Trains leave for Wellington 4.5 p.in. and 6.5 p.m.; Palmerston North 8.5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Luncheon and Afternoon Tea obtainable on the Ground. Hot Water supplied free on ground. BAND IN ATTENDANCE. Entries for all Events close with the Secretary, on THURSDAY, JANUARY 31st at 8 p.m. Handicaps will appear.in lihe Manavvatu Evening Standard, Levin Chronicle, utaki Mail, and Shannon News.
