The home club were successful in winning three of their games. During the alternoon the ladies dispensed tjea in their usual efficient manner and it was much appreciated by all presfent. . Shannon; H. Butt, Gardner, Fargh er, Whibley (skip) 36 v. Foxton: Thomson, Christie, Smith, Nye- (skip) 12'.
Shannon: Clayjon, Spencer, Murray, Quarrie (skip) 22 v. Ljevin : Challies, Pyke, Percy, Harris (skip) 17. Shannon; Aim, B. Spencer,, Roach, Gagliardi (skip) 17 v. Foxton: Simpson, Huntly, Ross Roore (skip) 26. Total number of points scored were : Shannon, 99, Levin 39 x Foxton 28. The local club by putting up an average of 25 per rink against 19 rink by both Foxton and Levin, now hold a very good position in the match.
The second round will be played at Levin on Wednesday next.
