' ; RULES OF COMPETITION. 1. No acceptance iee to be paid. 2. Competitors must wear usual full athletic costume, consisting of singlet and breeches (elbow to knee). • 3. Competitors when nominating must send in their results of the last two performances 4. All events will be under the Rules of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. 5. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by nomination fees. <i. ■„ ompetitois must wear a number (to be supplied by the Secretory) corresponding to that opposite their names on the programme., 7. The decision of the Judges or Judge shall be final hi every competition., and vthey have power to dis(l'ualiiy tiny competitor. 8. In High Jump, Broad Jump and Hop, Step and Jump, each competitor shall be allowed three (3) tries. 9 The Committee reserve the right of refusing any entry, making any change in the programme, postponing or abandoning the Sports if necessary by weather or other circumstances, of .Which they shall be sole Judges. 10. All events, five competitors or no second prize. Three competitors or no event. This rule will no strictly enforced. 11. All entries must be made on N.Z.A.A.A. Forms.. 12. All competitors must be in readiness when called, as the events must come off in the -order stateu. Any compet'ilor misconducting himself will be excluded from the competition and if he should have successfully competed he must forfeit the prize. ALL COMPETITORS MUST LEAVE THE RING AFTER EACH EVEN& 13. JNone but the Officials and Competitors during the events allowed on the course. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
14. Scratching^.—All competitorsnot Competing in any event must notify c tlie Scratching Steward not less tlian ten ruinates before tlie event. 15. All competitors must be financial'members of -their. vespeUive Clubs. 16.. Ladies' events.; Competitors need not be members of any Affiliated Club. All events run under the rules of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. Trains leave for Wellington 4.5 p.m. and 6.5 p.m.; Palmerston North 8.5 pan. ana 9 p.m. Luncheon and Afternoon Tea obtainable on tlie Ground. Hot Water supplied i'reo on ground. BAND IN ATTENDANCE.
