The Brunswick Co-op. Dairy Company, Ltd., has been advised that &S shipment of cheese per Tainui s old at 108 s per cwt. for white, and,its shipment per Mahana for 104 s. The Rapanui Co-op. Dairy Company's 'shipments realised 103 s per cwt. for whit© and coloured per Tainui, and 104 s. per Mahana. A number of new sawmills are now in course of erection on the Main Trunk railway, the four latest comprising two near Raetihi and two near Karidi. Recently the industry has received an impetus in the Taiha,pe district,. and bush areas previously regarded as inaccessible or too expensive; to work are now being tapped.
