At a meeting of the comniitteie 01' the. Shannon Boxing Association on Tuesday evening the programme for the forthcoming tourney to be held in .the Druids' Hall on Saturday, ■ -February 9th,, was drawn up. It was de- [ cided to hold a novice toumamient in J the ligatweight division, wniie three J other amateur events will be staged, to i foe followed by ten 3-minute rounds
professional featherweight contest for I a purse of 150 sovs (between Clinton (Palinerston) and Brown (Hamilton). As featherweights cannot be beaten 1 for a fast exhibition, this contest should prove a big draw. Both the boys have just turned pros, and as it will be their first as such, the public can look forward to a good "go." The price for admission was fixed at 10s, 6s and 4s.
