WEDDING BELLS.
A very pretty wedding .Wjas solemnised oq Thursday ait the: Church of England by the Rev, Jos. Farnell, of Gneymouth, the contracting parties 'being Ruth, only daughter oif Mr and' Mrs- T. Hensman, of Stout street, and Frank, second youngest son of Mrs. Powells, of Hampshire,.England. The bride, who was gi vein away by her father, was attired in a lovely frock of cream jersey -silk, trimined wij>h pearls and silk braid, girdle and tulle veile and orange blossom and carried a beautiful bouquet of white flowers and maidenhair fern. Shja was attended by Miss Ved* Hensinian as bridesmaid wearing turqmodse (blue satijn. and! organdi hat of the same shade, and carrying a pale pink toouqufit. The ■best man was Mr Harold BaiUie, of Eketahuna, Mendelsohn's: Wedding March was played by Mrs.J. T. Bovis during the ceremony. A reception was held afterwards at the Parish Hall, a large nuimiber of friends being ipresienrt. The following .toasts w#re honoured: "The King," "Bride and Bridegroom," "The,,Bridesmaid," and 'The Best Man," and'"Parents of the Bride and Groom." After "Auld Lang Syne" was sung, amidst showers of confetti and good wishes, Mr and Mrs Powell left by motor for their future home in Auckland; the bride travelling in a navy blue gabardine costume and sweet little green halt. Among tin© guestts were Mr, Powell, of "Wellington, and his son, who'are .uncle and cousin of the torida* grooni. " ' ,'■
