SUMMER MEETING, 'SECOND DAY. BONNETTER WINS PRESIDENT'S second day of the Manawatu Racing Club's Summer Meeting was held yesterday in perfect weather and before a large attendance. The racing was of an attractive variety, though in th-y majority of events the favourites were not generous to the public. In the big race —the President's Han. dicap—Bonnetter justified her popular choice and returned the investors' monev. Zero Hour produced a surprise ~in the Terrace Welter, and left the favoured Cairo'well behind. The totalisator handled £34,805 for the day, compared £37,439 last year, a decrease_of £2634.
