HIGHLY SATISFACTORY YEAR

Mr. F. W. Nicholson, manager for New Zealand of the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia, lias received the following cable from his head office in Melbourne:—"The 54th annual general meeting of members was held yesterday. The new business for the year was very satisfactory, 13,870 policies were issued, assuring just on £6,ooo,ooo—an increase of £876,000 no the previous year's figures. The total income for the year, including premiums and interest, was £3,940,177, an increase of £1,217,665. The large sum of £2,310,583 has been added to the funds-which have now reached £19,000000."
