THE RADIUM APPEAL.
Tile appeal made J>y the Radium Committee concludes as follows: The Committee has. decided to raise ! £IO,OOO, by voluntary gift, whicn, witu I the Government subsidy, will provide a modem, radium department. They desire to do this by Christmas, as the community's Christmas, gilt to our unfortunate fellow beings who now lie stricken, with this, disease, and to our children and' our children's vchildren 1 who. in years- to come may be doomed to its. ravages, and by this means afford them som hope of a cure,,or at least relief from their pain and suffering. We appeal to yout, to your friends, to every man, woman, «. and dhild to help us in. this noblie ef- ' fort. No greater joy will ever come to yon than to know that some of the. wealth which God has entrusted to your keeping has been used for tiw relief of your suffering fellows. Realising that, sympathy, love, and charity are the' .outstanding virtues - of our people, we appeal to you to generously support this, title most noble cause to which you were ev e r asked to give. Our appeal will not be in vain. '..
