Competitors from south travel up by New Plymouth or Napier Express and return by New Plymouth Express or 6.45 p.m. slow from Levin. Competitors from North travel down for preference by 7.10 a.m., if inconvenient by 12.13 p.m. from Palmerston, arriving Levin 2.12 p.m. and return by 7.30 p.m. from Levin.
