TQ BE OPENED ON FRIDAY,

The" opening of the t new Moutoa Hall, will take place on Friday evening, next, when a social and dance will'he held, to which the public of Shannon and district are cordially invited to' attend. A few days ago at the .'Bequest of the Moutoa Hall Committee, Mr H. E. Bennett, of Palmerston North; inspected the hall and 'gave some much) appreciated advice as to staging and the acoustic properties of the building, which the committee decided to give effect to. Mr Bennett says that the hall for concert purpases, when the suggestions are given! effect to, will render it one of the best. The approximate cost of the building is £675, and it Was erected by day labour, under the supervision of Mr H. Alexander, of Moutoa, which effected a saving of £IOO on the lowest tender. The outside measurements are 30ft x 71ft, "including two dres«ing rooms and! stage 12ft x 30ft.
