BOWLING.
The Foxton Bowling Club held a gala day on tiheir green on Wednesday afternoon when the following chibs were represented by rinks : Palmerston North and Shannon two each Terrace End, Northern, and Taka’ro one each. The weather was ideal for bowling and a. pleasant time was spent by'the visitors who were most hospitably entertained by the members of the Foxton Club. The* following are the results of the ganiies played by the Shannon rinks " who were Burns, Shannon, Edwards, McKegg (skip) 17 v. Allen., Palmerston North (skip) 19; and Aim, Clayton, Murray and Murphy (skip) .22 v. Pearson, Foxton (skip) 17. f The following rink has been selected to represent Shannon in their endeavour to secure the Mnnson-Barr Guo; which is at present, held bv m Palmerston rink: —Messrs Gaglmym, Murray, Whibley and Quarr.ie ( s l<m). The game is to take place at Palnm' ston North on Saturdy, December Ist.
