He ■_ also secured Ist and 3rd for wool at the same show, the fleeces showing excel-, S quality and weight,, the heaviest turning/the scales at 211bs. . Messrs. Abraham and , Williams, Ltd, were also successful in purchasing 3 2-tooth Rompey stud rams from Messrs. Voss Bros., of Karere, Palmerston North. These were a, very nice line and reflect great credit on the breeders, bein :? particularly well woolled, with good bone, plenty of type' and character and good bodies Messrs. Voss Bros.'s flock is old and well; established, as it was taken over 'by them from their father, Mr.M

They also have b«en particularly at the Manawatu Show just held and havs won the* .following prizes for rams shown u-der natural conditions:— Champion for Ilomiu-y ram: *irst. prize for Romney r:un under *J rr-nths; first prize, for Romncy ram o\er 30 months, shorn; first pme for pen of four ram hoggets; second prize for pen of two ram hoggets; third prize for ram over 30 months. For ewe classes they received: —Reserve champion for Romney
ewe: First Prize for ewe under <SO months with ram at foot; second prizes for tewe over 30 months with ewe at foot; third prize for ewe over 30 months with ewe at foot. Thfe three rams which have just been exported were the pick. of Messrs. Voss Bros.'s rams in the ; wool and, ■out-of'those remaining Messrs. Voss Bros., succeeded in securing first prize for four ram hoggets and second prize with pair. Consequently, the sheep exported must have done remarkably well: if entered at our show here.
