BOWLING.
Oft Wednesday two local rinks visited Wellington and played two rinks from the Newtown Club,. Honours Were divided, each Club winning a game. The local mien. report having experienced iu|eal bowling weutiher and an enjoyable time was spent, the visitors being most hospitably entertained. The games resulted' as follows :—Co oper, Watterston. Dustin, Fargher (skip) 25, v. Robbing (skip) 23; Fiergusson, Murray, Murphy, McKegg (skip) 16 y. Prince (skip) 19. The local green is-now looking well and the caretaker, (Mr Knight) is to be complimented on the work he puts into it, which is appreciated by the members of the Club.
A good game for the S'taiisell Feathers resulted in Messrs Roach and Claylon defeating Gunning <and Bovis by - 20 to 19. ' ' '■ .
