(From our own Correspondent). Miss Woke was a successful candidate at toe recent miu.sic examinations, gaining lier A.T.C.L. diploma. Mrs Horace Burge, of Hastings, is on a visit. herealso her sister (Mrs A. Jones), who has recently recovered from a serious illness. Mrs McHardie is an inmate of ->a Palmerston, North hospital. Her friends wisq her a. speedy recovery. Miss Beswick', who has resided here lor about two years, has taken up her residence in Palmerston, where she should be an addition to musical circlgs. The Rev. J. C. Abbot intends holding intercession services shortly. Several cases of physical healing are reported in the district. Miss Jean Reichel is visiting relations in Petone. It is anticipated that the muchneeded repairs to the 'bridge, . will shortly*' be put into 1 execution, as the timber awaits the craftsman’s art. Master Jack Kelly .had the misfortune to be attacked by a cow, .and is suffering a broken rib in consequence. The roads here would benefit if.a steam roller were introduced, as they are a source, of discomfort to the pedestrian. Had we a bootmaker, in the vicinity he .would reap a rich harvest. ■ -
