OFFICERS ELECTED
j A general meeting of the Shannon Boxing Association was held on Friday evening for the purpose of confirming the rules and electing officer's. Mr G. Murphy occupying the chair. After the rules had been read oyer 'and discussed, on the motion of Mr Beard, seconded by Mr Scott, they were confirmed. The election of officers was then proceeded with, which were as follows :—Patron, Mr W. McKegg; president, Mr G. Murphy; vice-presidents,; Messrs Steer "and J- W. Murray;. secretary, Mr J. T. Bovis; treasurer 1 , Mr H. Greedy; auditor, Mr J. V. Burns; committee, Messrs W. Murdoch, H. Hook, H. Hardie. S. Cording, T. Gardner, H. BUrrougihs, H. # Hudson, H. Crighton, J. Beard, H. A. Scott and T. Moynihan. GENERAL.
Twenty-three new members were elected. ' It was decided ■ that an account be opened with the Bank of New Zealand and that the secretary and treasurer be authorised to operate at the Bank. Mesrs McKegg and Steer were appointed delegates to .attend the conference of the Boxing Associations at Wellington on October 30th.
