An interesting communication—to school teachers—from the Education : Department was read at a meeting of the Wanganui Education Board last week stating that school registers cannot he marked for attendance unless schools are open for two consecutive hours. It was stated that the practice in some schools on wet day was to have about 20 minutes for lunch, reassemble the school,.mark the register, and theiii disperse.
