j FLOOD FILLS CHANNEL- WITH SILT I THE EXCAVATION DELAYED. ! The recent heavy rain in the ranges caused: a flood in the Mangalxao on Saturday, and as a result the river channel which the men had just completed pumping out has been silted up and the work has now to be done over again. It is most unfortunate as ! everything wias in readiness for a , start to be made -at midnight on Sunday with the excavating.
