LEVIN WEEKLY SALE.
There was a good yarding of ati classes of stock at the Levin yards yesterday, prices being firm rates. About 600 sheep were yarded, which is the biggest offering for some, time. The'quality was mostly gooa, and prices were, accordingly, highFats wore fairly well represented and sold well under Keen competition. The quality of the dairy stock offering was not high, although there was keen demand for anything showing promise. Some good pens of Jerseygrade yearlings were offered .and sold up to £6 9s. Pigs were firm at late rates. Prices were as follow: —•
Pigs: Weaners, small lls to you* better to 225, stores 24s to 295, light porkers 36s to £2 Is, medium £2 10s to £2 15s, heavy to £3 17s. Sheep: Fat ewthers 38s 6d, fat ewes 26s 9d tQ 395, fat hoggets 28s to 29s 9d, wether hoggets 29s sd, mixed sex hoggets 26s 9d, good conditioned blackfacedi hoggets 26s 6d. * Cattle :Fat cows, light £4 10s,' good conditioned £3 5s to £3 10s, springing heifers, poor quality £3 to -£5 10s, better sorts to £lO, springing cows to £8 17s 6d, store cows £1 to 335, small yearling heifers to £3 10s, medium quality. Jersey-cross £4 to £4 ss,'"good Jersey grade £6-7s 6d to £6 9«, cull yearling steers 28s 6d. bulbs to £5.
