ARISTOCRATIC LABOUR.
POSITION IN ENGLAND
RANK AND PILE IGNORED. The aristocracy of Labour is the most exclusive set in social life, declares the London "Daily .Mail,” referring to the demand of the Democrat Labour members for a rearrangement of the culinary plant of the House of Commons so'as to provide “high tea” instead of the more expensive dinner. The differences in the Labour party are' conspicuous in other directions, says the newspaper. While some Labour members travel by, tramway and livo in cheap boarding houses, others drive their own..cars to first-class hotels. The leaders attending conferences travel first-class on the rail-
ways, and stay at the best hotels. Outside the conference-room, they are i scarcely on speaking terms with the ordinary delegates and their wives.
