CONFERENCE ADOPTS POLICY. (Received Tuesday, 2 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 1. The Trotting Conference concluded with a vote of thanks to Mr P. Selig, President of the New Zealand Trotting Association, for, his able presidency and the experienced assistance he had afforded the gathering. Among the nineteen resolutions adopted, generally dealing with trotting interests, it was decided that a controlling body be established in each State of the Commonwealth with powers similar .to those of the N.Z. * Trotting As - sociation, such controlling bodies to enter into reciprocal relations, and that all suspensions and disqualifications for malpractice imposed by any controlling body be recognised and endorsed by reciprocating bodies, including New Zealand. The rules adopted provided against the duplication of the names of" horses for registration and clearance certificates of imported horses, for official records of the first, second and third placings, and for the inspection of imported horses. It to appoint an agent in Sydney to act on behalf of Ihe various controlling bodies in the Commonwealth. The New Zealand proposal to hold conferences at regular intervals was favoured, but not finished.
